PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: conformation specific antibodies to trefoil factor (TFF) and compositions thereof; and methods of regulation of cellular proliferation and/or survival, particularly methods for the treatment of cancers, tumors and proliferative disorders.SOLUTION: The present invention provides antibodies that specifically bind to a TFF1 polypeptide and bind to a conformational epitope on the TFF1 polypeptide. The present invention also provides methods of inhibiting proliferation or survival of a tumor cell, the methods including contacting the cell with the antibodies.
