PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain strictness of a cash management upon detailed audit processing while omitting a storage part for storing a rejection target bank note.SOLUTION: A control part 513 of a bank note processing device (a teller machine 1) is configured to: upon detailed audit processing, pull out all bank notes in a storage part 31 and temporarily store all the bank notes in a provisional holding part 51; store all the bank notes in the original storage part once again; during a transportation of the bank notes between the storage part and the provisional holding part, check the bank note in hand in the storage part on the basis of a result of an identification performed to respective bank notes by an identification part 25; and, when a bank note to be rejected is identified by the identification part during the detailed audit processing, get back all the bank notes pulled out from the storage part to the original storage part and set an incomplete flag indicating that the detailed audit to the storage part is not completed.
