PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet used in greening soil by covering the soil with ground cover, capable of being applied for the ground cover which takes some time after being planted until covering the soil, suppressing weeds from propagating and favorably growing the ground cover.;SOLUTION: Provided is a ground cover curing weed-proof sheet made of nonwoven cloth formed by accumulating a large number of pieces of continuous fiber composed of a thermoplastic polymer containing a polylactic acid-based polymer. The pieces of continuous fiber do not mechanically interlace with each other three-dimensionally in a thickness direction of the nonwoven fiber but simply accumulated, and when a part of the continuous fiber fuses or softens, the pieces of continuous fiber thermally bond with each other to keep a shape of the nonwoven fiber. The continuous fiber is spun-dyed fiber and has a L* value of 40 or less. On the nonwoven fiber, a large number of penetration holes are bored through by using boring needles, for allowing roots of creeper plants to penetrate therethrough. After the penetration holes are bored through, the sheet is laid on the ground while positioning a surface on the upper side from which the boring needles are applied when boring the penetration holes (the surface opposite to the one facing the soil surface).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
