PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-phase support for nucleic acid synthesis for synthesizing nucleic acid at high synthetic quality and at high purity, especially for synthesizing long chain oligonucleotide, RNA oligonucleotide and modified oligonucleotide with a low amount of a linker carried.SOLUTION: A solid-phase support for nucleic acid synthesis is obtained by covalent-bonding a porous resin bead comprising a monovinyl monomer unit and a crosslinkable vinyl monomer unit and is composed of a copolymer having a group, on a surface, capable of bonding to a carboxyl group with a dehydration condensation reaction, and a cleavable linker having a carboxyl group via the group capable of bonding to a carboxyl group. The porous resin bead has a sulfo group. A nucleic acid synthesis method comprises a step of sequentially bonding nucleoside or nucleotide via the cleavable linker using the solid-phase support for nucleic acid synthesis, thereby obtaining oligonucleotide.
