PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ferritic stainless steel for a cooking utensil used in an induction heating cooker, having processability equivalent to that of SUS 430 ferritic stainless steel and having thermal efficiency better than that of SUS 430 ferritic stainless steel, and to provide a cooking utensil using the same.SOLUTION: Ferritic stainless steel for a cooking utensil used in an induction heating cooker has the composition containing, by mass, 0.06% or less of C, 0.06% or less of N, 0.6% or more and 2% or less of Si+Al, 13% or more and 20% or less of Cr, and 2.0% or less of Mn, with the balance consisting of Fe and inevitable impurities.
