PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquiring method capable of acquiring information with high accuracy in acquiring brain activity information from an organism to which visual stimulation is given.SOLUTION: An information acquiring method for acquiring brain activity information by different visual stimulation includes: (1) a step of presenting a first visual stimulation to an organism; (2) a step of acquiring brain activity data of a primary visual field and brain activity data of a color vision related field when the first visual stimulation is presented; (3) a step of presenting a second visual stimulation different from the first visual stimulation to the organism; (4) a step of acquiring brain activity data of the primary visual field and brain activity data of the color vision related field when the second visual stimulation is being presented; and (5) a step of acquiring brain activity information on the basis of the ratio between the ratio of the brain activity data of the primary visual field acquired in the step (2) to the brain activity data of the primary visual field acquired in the step (4) and the ratio of the brain activity data of the color vision related field acquired in the step (2) to the brain activity data of the color vision related field acquired in the step (4).
