PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor having improved performance in high-voltage environments.;SOLUTION: The capacitor for use in relatively high-voltage environments is provided. During formation, anodization may be carried out in such a manner that a dielectric layer possesses a relatively thick portion that overlays an external surface of an anode and a relatively thin portion that overlays an interior surface of the anode. In addition to employing the dielectric layer with a differential thickness, a solid electrolyte is also formed from the combination of pre-polymerized conductive polymer particles and a hydroxy-functional nonionic polymer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
