Provided are a composite material for producing a natural fiber-containing plastic, said composite material exhibiting an excellent effect of reducing the odor of a natural fiber-containing plastic (in particular, an injection-molded article or a compression-molded article), a method for producing said composite material, a natural fiber-containing plastic having a reduced odor, and a method for producing said plastic. A natural fiber-containing plastic is produced by injection molding or compression molding a composite material that is produced, using a natural fiber and a thermoplastic resin, by a method which involves a step for loading a plant-derived polyphenol to the natural fiber.
