Alkali metal titanate compound, method for producing the same, electrode active material containing the alkali metal titanate compound, and electricity storage device using the electrode active material
PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel alkali metal titanate compound and a process of producing the same. PSOLUTION: The novel compound has a chemical composition expressed by the general formula: HSB2-x/SBMSBx/SBTiSB12/SBOSB25/SB(0x2; M represents an alkali metal atom; when x=2, Na is excluded from M) and preferably a one-dimensional tunnel structure. The compound is synthesized by reacting a compound having a chemical composition expressed by the general formula: HSB2/SBTiSB12/SBOSB25/SBand an alkali metal compound. A storage device using an electrode containing an electrode-active material produced from the compound as its constitutional member has an excellent charge/discharge cycle characteristic and expectedly a high capacity.
