PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a denitration catalyst hardly deteriorated even if it is used for treatment of exhaust gas containing a potassium component in high concentration in combustion ashes just like a biomass combustion exhaust gas and a method of denitration of a biomass combustion exhaust gas at a high efficiency for a long duration, in consideration of sharp deterioration of a conventional catalyst in biomass combustion exhaust gas.;SOLUTION: The catalyst for exhaust gas cleaning is obtained by depositing an oxoacid or oxoacid salt of molybdenum (Mo) and/or tungsten (W) and an oxoacid salt of vanadium (V) or a vanadyl salt in an amount of more than 0 and 8 atom% or lower on titanium oxide adsorbing phosphate ion on the surface by bringing titanium oxide into contact with phosphoric acid or ammonium phosphate in an amount of more than 1 and 15 wt.% or lower to titanium oxide.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
