PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism having ability of producing a biosurfactant isolated from an edible plant so as to provide a biosurfactant having more excellent adaptability than that of the conventional one for uses more requiring safety to living organisms in cosmetics, foods, agricultural and stock raising industries and a method for producing a biosurfactant using the microorganism. PSOLUTION: The microorganism belongs to the genus Ustilago having ability of producing a biosurfactant without producing a mannosylerythritol lipid.
