PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture object observation system capable of starting the observation in the state of approximately focusing a sample from a beginning.;SOLUTION: The culture object observation system includes a culturing means for constituting an environment suitable for culturing a culture object, an imaging means for imaging a microscopic image of the culture object, a display means for displaying the microscopic image taken by the imaging means, and a control means for controlling display of the display means. The control means includes a storage means storing the current focus position associated with the culture object; and upon imaging a culture object, the control means sets a focus of the imaging means using the focus position stored in the storage means associated with the culture object and displays a microscopic image taken in that state on the display means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
