According to one embodiment of the present invention, coated graphite article is provided. The article graphite and; and a conductive coating which is overcoated at least a portion of the graphite. According to another embodiment of the present invention, a manufacturing method of the graphite article comprising a conductive coating is provided. The method steps and for processing the graphite article with a reactive ion etching method; and a step of applying a graphite after treatment with a reactive ion etching method, the conductive coating over at least a portion of the graphite. In a further embodiment of the present invention, the reproduction method of the graphite article comprising graphite and the topcoat conductive coating is provided. The method includes the step of removing the topcoat conductive coating of graphite article with a reactive ion etching method; and a step of new conductive coating applied on at least a portion of the graphite.
