PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam permeability evaluation cell and a steam permeability evaluation method, capable of preventing cell cracking in steam permeability evaluation of a test piece for evaluating steam permeability to produce evaluation results with higher reliability.;SOLUTION: A steam permeability evaluation cell comprises a corrosive metal layer and a steam impermeable layer having a metal layer composed of a metal impermeable to steam. The steam impermeable layer constitutes an evaluation cell for use in steam permeability evaluation, and comprises a laminate structure having a metal layer composed of a metal impermeable to steam and a buffer layer to prevent cracking composed of an alkaline earth metal. A steam permeability evaluation method using the steam permeability evaluation cell comprises humidifying the evaluation cell and evaluating a corrosion state of the corrosive metal layer to evaluate steam permeability of a test piece.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
