PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling a DC-DC converter which operates in a discontinuous mode.;SOLUTION: The DC-DC converter comprises a first switch N1 and a second switch P1 which operate alternately, and an induction coil L which changes a level of an input voltage Vbat and supplies an output voltage Vout. The converter control includes a first phase in which the switch is controlled so as to increase current of the induction coil L when the first switch N1 is made conductive and a second phase in which the second switch P1 is controlled so as to decrease current in the induction coil in each cycle. At the end of the second phase, a detect means 2 for detecting a code of over-voltage in one terminal Vy of an induction coil connected to the switch and supplying the detected signal to be kept in a high state and a low state according to the detected code of over-voltage. A timing means 3 receives the detected signal from a detecting means 2 and adjusts continuous time of the second phase in each cycle.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
