PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide manganese compound hydroxide particles having a small and uniform particle diameter and a method for producing the manganese compound hydroxide particles. PSOLUTION: The method for producing the manganese compound hydroxide particles by a crystallizing reaction comprises: a nucleus forming step to form a nucleus by controlling the pH value of an aqueous solution for nucleation containing a manganese-containing metal compound, another metal-containing metal compound and an ammonium ion supplying body to be 12.0-14.0 measuring on the basis of a liquid temperature of 25C; and a particle growing step to grow the nucleus by controlling the pH value of an aqueous solution for growing the particles containing the nucleus formed in the nucleus forming step to be 10.5-12.0 measured on the basis of a liquid temperature of 25C.
