PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that since a large scale NAT (hereinafter, may be referred to as LSN) may cause a failure in a network application due to its restriction items, it is extremely important for the application to inspect whether the large scale NAT exists on a communication channel or not, but it is extremely difficult to find only the large scale NAT because the large scale NAT is also an NAT although there are various methods of determining an NAT.;SOLUTION: The large scale NAT detector which sends a packet to a server connected via a network comprises a packet transmission control unit which transmits a packet to the network while changing the transmission source port number of the packet, and an LSN detection unit which determines that a large scale NAT exists on the network when ICMP13-Administratively Prohibited is received from the network.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
