PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna for reader/writer which can be easily installed by folding a side plate when installing the antenna for reader/writer in an article housing portion and can be prevented from being damaged at the time of transportation.;SOLUTION: An antenna 50 for reader/writer which reads and writes information recorded on an RFID tag (non-contact information recording medium) attached to a file (article) 14 that is put in a cabinet (article housing portion) 30 (refer to Fig. 2) comprising at least a bottom panel (shelf) 11, a rear panel 13, and right and left side panels 10 from an opening includes a base member 1 and an antenna element 2 attached to the base member 1. The base member 1 includes a back plate 3 disposed along the rear panel of the article housing portion 30 and a side plate 4 pivotally supported at right and left end portions of the back plate 3 so as to be opened and closed in right and left directions freely.
