PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recycling used refractory, in which a particle size distribution of a recycling refractory raw material can be adjusted suitably for recycling and the amount of the used refractory to be recycled can be made larger than before and by which the amount of the used refractory to be discarded can be restrained, and to provide the recycling refractory raw material and a monolithic refractory each of which is manufactured by the recycling method.;SOLUTION: The method for recycling used refractory includes a roughly sorting step of respectively crushing two or more used refractories X, Y and respectively sorting the crushed refractories into clumpy materials Xa, Ya and the remainders Xr, Yr; a finely sorting step of further sorting the remainders Xr, Yr respectively into coarse particle portions Xb, Yb and fine particle portions Xc, Yc; and a raw material manufacturing step of manufacturing the recycling refractory raw material by mixing the coarse particle portions Xb and Yb and the fine particle portions Xc, Yc of used refractories X and Y with one another by a predetermined ratio.
