PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of a formed part, to increase energy efficiency in forming an overhang and to raise the yield of materials in forming the overhang. PSOLUTION: By making both edge parts of a sheet-metal workpiece W slide in the separating direction each other and in the same direction as the direction M in the extended surface of a forming surface 21 of a punch 20 or in an inclined direction to the side of the punch 20 than that, it is prevented that a sharp bent part and a longitudinal wall part are formed so as to hinder the extension of the formed part W1 on the sheet-metal workpiece W. Thus, because the formed part W1 is satisfactorily extendable, the improvement of quality is attained and energy is spendable efficiently to extend the formed part.
