Methods and systems for administering acuity assessments to customers who request vehicle insurance policies, and offering insurance policies based on customers' performances on the acuity assessments. In aspects, the vehicle insurance policies can cover various uses of the vehicle, where the policies may be distance- or time-based. The customer requests a vehicle insurance policy and an insurance provider provides a relevant acuity assessment to the customer for completion. The customer performs the acuity assessment and sends corresponding results, and the insurance provider determines the customer's performance. Based at least in part on the customer's performance, the insurance provider generates an insurance quote, which the customer may purchase.
