More specifically, the present invention relates to novel lucrative chemical method for preparing polyaniline. The present investigation describes simple successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) method, for depositing porous. nanostructured conducting polyaniline thin films in acidic media at room temperature with ease. These films were used for supercapacitor application. The electrochemical properties of polyaniline thin film were tested in H2SO4 electrolyte by using cyclic voltametry (CV) technique. Polyaniline thin film electrode in electrochemical capacitor cell, leading to a promising specific capacitance and good eye-lability beyond 10,000 cycles with 90% stability in 1 M H2SO4 electrolyte. The maximum value of specific capacitance obtained was 781 Fg-1.
