摘要

The present invention is related to use of heterogeneous catalyst comprising monovalent metal and divalent metal prepared by combustion synthesis wherein said catalyst composition having particle size in the range of lnm to 100 nm or use of supported or unsupported enzyme catalyst. Such nano sized catalyst composition is useful in many solid catalyzed reactions. In one of the processes wherein compounds derived from 2-oxazolidinones with general formula 1 is manufactured by using combustion synthesized catalyst composition or supported or unsupported enzyme catalyst composition to achieve complete conversion of primary or secondary amino alcohols with good selectivity. Catalyst composition is easily separable, regenerable and reusable in 2-oxazolidinones manufacturing process. Wherein, R, R1, R2, R3, R4 represents an alkyl group, substituted alkyl group, substitute or un-substituted phenyl group, substituted or un-substituted napthyl group, substituted un-substituted benzyl group, substituted or un-substituted cycloalkyl group.
