Disclosed are an intelligent CNC machine tool having an automatic machining function and a method for controlling the same. If modeling information of a workpiece is input into the CNC machine tool, the tooling sequence, a tool, and the moving path of the tool, which are required in a tooling work, are automatically selected to create NC data, the workpiece is tooled based on the NC data, and an error is instantly corrected when the error is detected by measuring the tooling state of the workpiece in the tooling work in real time, so that the optimal tooling state is maintained, thereby improving the quality and the productivity of the workpiece.
