摘要

A method for visualization of orientation heterogeneity and morphology of the surface of a mono-crystal or separate grains of a polycrystal consists in that first from the surface of the sample under investigation as a separate grain of polycrystal or monocrystal that is preliminarily chemically etched for the detection of quasi-periodical structure that leads to diffraction of white light on it, color orientation maps are obtained in RGB color space, after that the image of the surface of the sample is registered in sequence in tones of the red, green and blue colors, the components of the RGB. Visually indistinguishable tones of the red, green or blue colors are replaced by pre-selected visually distinguishable tones from the RGB color space, with obtaining new image of the surface of the sample, with visualization of the areas differing by crystallographic orientation by color tones. The technical result is in visualization of orientation heterogeneity and morphology of the surface of the monocrystal or separate grains of polycrystalline sample and determination of characteristics of those.
