A method for determining starch in pumpkin fruit includes a polarimetric method: applying a drop of an aqueous solution, which is obtained of potassium iodide and water, by a pipette onto water melon pulp and determining after the application the intensity of coloration of fruit pulp from light blue to dark blue according to the five-score system.
