METHOD FOR REVEALING AND SELECTING FUNCTIONALLY HOMOGENOUS GROUPS OF BULL CALVES OF MEAT BREEDS OF CATTLE

A method for determining and selecting functionally homogenous groups of bull-calves of meat breeds of cattle includes forming four groups of animals according to the types of higher nervous activity (HNA) thereof. Blood is taken in the animals, and on the basis of determining the activity of enzymes of antioxidant protection of organism, in particular glutathione peroxidase and superoxide dismutase, in the blood the appurtenance to a physiological group is determined. Selection of the bull-calves is carried out starting from the 6-month age.
