Combined power unit of diesel-multiple unit train uses different sources of energy - an internal combustion engine (ICE), the energy source of which is the hydrocarbon fuel, and a pneumatic engine, converted from the internal combustion engine into the pneumatic engine, the energy source of which is a mixture of discharge gases (DG) with high pressure and temperature that come from pneumatic tanks that are refueled by autonomous plunger-free gas generator (VPGG), and the torque to the driving wheel pairs is transmitted by standard hydraulic transmission that is connected to the ICE and the pneumatic engine, which is converted from the ICE when the compressed air is supplied to the cylinders by main (maneuverable) starting valve, air distributor and starting valves when the fuel supply switches off in accordance with the controller signal of the operator. A second source of energy is the pneumatic engine, which is temporarily converted from a standard ICE when compressed mixture (WG) is supplied to cylinders by main (maneuverable) starting valve, air distributor and starting valves when the fuel supply switches off from pneumatic tanks, which are connected to the autonomous VPGG that fills the compressed purified mixture (WG) with the high temperature in the process of movement diesel-multiple unit train.
