The invention relates to a roof tile comprising a plate-shaped main body made of cast material. The roof tile is characterised in that the main body has at least two holes in which conductors are guided. This facilitates use in conjunction with a solar collector. In a method for producing a roof tile, a roof tile or roof slate is digitised, the model is reworked in such a manner that on a top face a flat surface for mounting a solar module is produced, a casting mould for the model is produced, in which roof tile main bodies are cast, and a solar module is fastened to each main body.
