Provided is a method compatible with a conventional user end equipment in VDSL2, comprising: selecting a sub-carrier of a preset location from sub-carriers of a conventional line as a training sub-carrier; controlling the training sub-carrier not to transmit data and modulating a pilot sequence in the training sub-carrier; performing calculation over a vector line and feeding back a truncation error; and according to the pilot sequence and the truncation error, calculating the crosstalk coefficient of the conventional line to the vector line over the training sub-carrier. Also provided are a device and system compatible with a conventional user end equipment in VDSL2. The present invention can obtain the crosstalk coefficient of a conventional line to a vector line on the premise that the cost is not increased and the existing conventional user end equipment is not changed, thus eliminating the crosstalk of the conventional line to the vector line and realizing the compatibility of a Vectored-DSL system with the conventional user end equipment.
