The invention relates to an apparatus for conveying hard constituents separated from minced meat. The apparatus comprises a housing (12) which is provided with inlet (14) and outlet (20) openings for the hard constituents, and an inlet opening (16) for a pressurised fluid. Inside the housing a movable part (22) is movable to a first and a second position. The walls of the housing and the movable part enclose a chamber (24). When the movable part is in the first position, the chamber communicates with the inlet opening for the hard constituents, and, when it is in the second position, the chamber communicates with the inlet opening for the fluid and the outlet opening for the hard constituents. The present invention also relates to a machine for mincing meat, and to a method of use of the apparatus.
