The method involves arranging several components in a mold (10) having an inner side that is formed with a positioning receptacle (22). The components include a prefabricated structural element (24) that is formed with a fixed geometry with an outer surface (26), and a positioning projection (28) protruding out of outer surface. The components arranged in the mold are interconnected, and the positioning projection is inserted into the positioning receptacle so as to predetermine a disposition of the prefabricated structural element in the mold. An independent claim is included for prefabricated structural element for making a wind turbine member in a mold.
