The invention relates to a multi-object container and an object for use in such a multi-object container, able to be used particularly in portable key repositories that have an electromechanical selection and forward feed function. A multi-object container is suggested for this purpose which comprises a storage element (3, 22, 24) for storing objects, the objects stored in this storage element (3, 22, 24) being able to be displaced along a guide which is provided through said multi-object container, in at least one direction within the multi-object container, and said guide comprising at least two guide rails (1j) which are arranged to be flush and separated from one another by a spacing. The objects can be received into, and/or removed out of, the storage element (3, 22, 24) through the gaps formed by this spacing. Another aspect of the invention relates to objects which can be stored in such a multi-object container.
