HTSC busbar and HTSC busbarsystem

The busbar (1) has a U-shaped, rigid, electrically conductive carrier rail (2) provided around a longitudinal axis. High temperature superconductors (HTSCs) (31) e.g. flexible bands, extend over a length of the carrier rail. The HTSCs include a carrier layer, which includes multiple layers and a HTSC material. The HTSCs are conductively connected with each other in a region of a start and/or an end of the carrier rail. An electrically conductive auxiliary layer is provided as a lower layer and/or an upper layer of the HTSCs. An independent claim is also included for a busbar system.
