摘要

Phosphorus (P) is one of the principal essential macronutrients for biological growth and development. It is present in soil at rates of 400 to 1200 mg/kg; however, it is not available to plants. The bacteria PGPR play a very important role in the solubilization of this mineral element. Although several phosphate-solubilizing bacteria exist which solubilize phosphates in the soil, they are too few to compete with other bacteria commonly established in the rhizosphere. Thus the amount of phosphorus released by these small communities is generally insufficient to increase in-situ plant growth substantially. Consequently, it is necessary to inoculate the plants with a high concentration of a target microorganism which is higher than that normally found in the soil in order to benefit from the phosphate-solubilizing property in order to increase plant yields. The invention concerns the use of a biofertilizer product based on two gram-positive strains having the ability to solubilize phosphate. They are known as Bacillus megaterium and Bacillus mucilaginosus. The inventiondescribed in the present patent also concerns the formulation method which was included from the outset in the mass production of the bacterial strains. Tests have been performed both on the stability of the strain in the product and on the efficiency thereof in improving crop yields.
