The objective of the present invention is to provide: an infrared light shielding film which is prevented from interference patterns (iris irregularity) under a three-wavelength fluorescent lamp and has excellent adhesiveness and durability; a method for installing the infrared light shielding film; and a method for preventing the occurrence of iris on the infrared light shielding film.An infrared light shielding film according to the present invention comprises, on at least one surface of a base, an infrared light reflecting layer unit, which is configured by laminating a plurality of low-refractive-index layers and a plurality of high-refractive-index layers, and a specific functional layer. This infrared light shielding film is characterized in that: the low-refractive-index layers or the high-refractive-index layers in the infrared light reflecting layer unit contain metal oxide fine particles; and the specific functional layer laminated on the infrared light reflecting layer unit has a total thickness of 10 μm or more.
