PURPOSE: A composition containing oxyresveratrol imine derivatives, with a neuroprotective effect is provided to prevent and treat oxidative stress-related diseases. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating neurologic diseases contains(3,5-dimethoxybenzylidene)-(2,4-dimethoxyphenylamine) compounds of chemical formula I as an active ingredient. The pharmaceutical composition is prepared by reacting p-anisaldehyde and aniline at -30 deg.C. to -10 deg.C. The pharmaceutical composition prevents and treats oxidative stress of neuronal cells. The pharmaceutical composition has a form of powder, granules, a tablet, a capsule, a suspension, an emulsion, syrup, or aerosol. A food composition for treating neurologic diseases contains(3,5-dimethoxybenzylidene)-(2,4-dimethoxyphenylamine) compounds of chemical formula I.
