The present invention relates to a control device for conversion between a left-hand type and a right-hand type of a digital door lock and a method for the same. More specifically, the present invention facilitates easy conversion between a left-hand type and a right-hand type of a digital door lock which includes a bracket for installation in a door made of hard-to-processing material such as glass. To do so, in the present invention, the bracket is inserted and fixed without removal of an outer unit from the bracket while a letter panel remains upright regardless of the vertical direction, and the conversion between a left-hand type and a right-hand type is completed only with a touch action on a certain point. Therefore, the present invention is easy-to-use for everyone and requires almost no additional cost, thereby being able to come into wide use.
