The present invention relates to a composition for simultaneously detecting both type 1 and type 2 HCV genes based on a double hybridization peptide nucleic acid (PNA) probe system in a parallel binding structure, and a method for simultaneously detecting type 1 and type 2 HCV genes using the composition and a real-time polymerase chain reaction. Upon executing the real-time polymerase chain reaction using the composition comprising the double hybridization PNA probe system in parallel binding structure of the present invention, type 1 and type 2 HCV genes in a tube can be accurately detected at the same time by excellent sensitivity, thereby being capable of a more prompt and accurate clinical diagnosis.
