METHOD FOR DISPLAYING OPTIMAL NAVIGATING PATH OF VEHICLES AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

Provided are a method and an apparatus for displaying an optimal path of a vehicle which can guide a pathway ahead in advance in a navigation device while a vehicle is waiting for an intersection signal or in a vehicle stop state. A method for displaying an optimal path of a vehicle in the navigation device according to present invention comprises: a process of setting an optimal path according to the destination of the vehicle and storing; a process of detecting the current position of the vehicle traveling on the optimal path; a process of determining if the amount of time while the vehicle stops running is more than the predetermined amount of time when a vehicle stops to run on the optimal path; and a process of displaying a path ahead of the current position of the detected vehicle in case that the amount of time while the vehicle stops running is more than the predetermined amount of time.
