The present invention provides an antibacterial composition containing icis/i-cyclo(L-Leu-L-Pro) as an active ingredient and having specific antibacterial activity against the iStreptococcus/i bacteria or the iShigella/i bacteria, and also provides a pesticide composition, and a method for producing an antibacterial agent. The antibacterial composition of the present invention exhibits excellent antibacterial activity against the iStreptococcus/i or the iShigella/i bacteria and thereby can be applied to various industrial fields in which the removal and prevention of the iStreptococcus/i or iShigella/i bacteria are needed. In particular, the use of the antibacterial composition of the present invention is economically advantageous because even a small amount thereof exhibits antibacterial activity. Moreover, the present invention provides an antiviral composition containing icis/i-cyclo(L-Leu-L-Pro) or icis/i-cyclo(L-Phe-L-Pro).
