The present invention relates to a method for monitoring the senescence of stem cells in real time and a method for diagnosing the senescence of stem cells. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for monitoring the senescence of stem cells by preparing a transparent electrode patterned on a transparent substrate to cultivate cells on a cell chip, which generates the response potential of the stem cells cultivated on the electrode and a culture medium and then analyzing the total impedance measured from the cultivated cells, the culture medium, and the electrode. Also, the present invention relates to a method for diagnosing the senescence of stem cells by comparing the total impedance values measured from the stem cells at a specific passage number and the stem cells to be diagnosed for the senescence after having the stem cells pass the processes mentioned above.
