The present invention relates to makkoli containing a water dropwort extract coated with a capsule and a preparation method thereof. The makkoli and the preparation method thereof according to the present invention are able to maintain the taste and the flavor of conventional makkoli while containing the water dropwort extract. Therefore, provided are makkoli maintaining the functionality and the flavor of makkoli and enhancing functionality of water dropwort and a preparation method thereof.
