The present invention relates to a method for the early detection of drug-induced nephrotoxicity by using a novel index material useful for detecting drug-induced nephrotoxicity in the early stages. The method for the early detection of drug-induced nephrotoxicity uses 3-indoxyl sulfate, which is a novel biomarker for the early detection of nephrotoxicity and has excellent sensitivity and specificity to drug-induced nephrotoxicity in urine, serum, and renal tissues of a target object; and trigonelline as a marker, to effectively detect the symptoms in the kidney of the target object in the early stages by a simple method, thereby being widely used in various fields such as the diagnosis of acute renal failure due to drugs which can often arise during clinical treatment and a clinical test which is necessary for new drug development.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
