The present invention relates to a device for controlling an operation of a display panel in a multi-display panel, capable of allowing an entire screen area to have uniform luminance by compensating for luminance of a luminance decrease area due to an external photorefractive member in the screen areas of the display panel when the display panel to output an image is driven. The device for controlling an operation of a display panel in a multi-display panel comprises: a frame memory unit to store image data in a frame unit; and a gray level converting unit to sequentially read frames stored in the frame memory unit, convert gray levels of pixels included in the read frame, wherein the gray level of the pixel that is included in the frame, and that corresponds to a portion to which a photorefractive member is attached in screen areas of a display panel is raised to be converted relative to the gray levels of the pixels that correspond to the portions other than the portion to which the photorefractive member is attached, and output the frame including the pixel having the converted gray level as an image. Therefore, the device of the present invention allows an entire screen area to have uniform luminance by compensating for luminance of the area to which the photorefractive member is attached in the screen areas of the display panel when the display panel to output the image is driven, thereby enhancing screen continuity when the multi-display panel including multiple display panels outputs the image.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2014
