The present invention relates to a method for screening chromosome abnormality syndrome in infants using differential expression of maternal plasma mRNA before birth, and to a composition for screening. The method for screening chromosome abnormality syndrome in infants of the present invention is marginally influenced by weight, age, and pregnancy week number of a mother, while capable of screening chromosome abnormality syndrome in infants with high sensitivity and accuracy. In addition, the method for screening chromosome abnormality syndrome in infants uses differential expression of maternal plasma mRNA, thereby having low risk and being able to simply screen chromosome abnormality syndrome in infants at low costs.
