The present invention relates to a composition comprising a promoting agent of juxtamembrane 2 (JM2) domain in DDR2 as an active ingredient for preventing or treating cancer. The promoting agent of JM2 in DDR2, according to the present invention, overexpresses JM2 of the present invention, forms JM2-DDR2 heterodimers, and inhibits phosphorylation of DDR2, thereby having excellent effects of suppressing growth and differentiation of cancer cells and inhibiting infiltration, which allows useful application of the composition as a cancer treatment.
