The present invention relates to a hardening composition and a method for hardening soft clay using the same and, more specifically, to a hardening effect enhancing technology of high organic marine clay using cement by addition of metal oxide and calcium carbonate, which uses a hardening agent composed of a steel slag generally containing Portland cement, silica, calcium, and various kinds of metal oxides to increase the hardness of high organic soft clay compared with using cement only, and which recycles steel slag produced as a by-product of steel industry to reduce the production costs.
