The present invention relates to manufacture of molybdenum sulfide (MoS2) nano-fibers coated with a metal oxide, and an electrode active material for a sodium secondary battery using the same. The molybdenum sulfide (MoS2) nano-fibers manufactured in an electrospinning method form a bundle by agglomerating together like an assembly, have a large specific surface area, and contain a number of fine nano-pores, thereby having excellent electrode active material properties for a sodium secondary battery. In particular, a thin metal oxide is additionally coated on the electrode including the molybdenum sulfide (MoS2) nano-fibers by using an atomic layer deposition, thereby manufacturing an electrode active material for a sodium secondary battery with a remarkably improved lifetime property.
