Disclosed is a cable installation method for building a liquefied natural gas carrier capable of drastically reducing man-hours and construction periods by installing a cable for building a liquefied natural gas carrier using a winch. The cable installation method comprises: a step of forming a first hole in a pair of companion houses installed in the stem-side end of a pair of side paths extended on the port and the starboard in the longitudinal direction of a ship; and a step of forming second holes communicated with the pair of side paths on a trunk deck in front of a stern-side deck house.
